Shooting glass is always equal parts pleasure and pain. But when you find just the right combination of light and shadow, you can let the product sing!

Photographing the luxuriously sculpted Angel’s Envy bottle, I was inspired to create a scene to capture the essence of the spirit inside. We constructed a set to allow a heavenly light to filter through the barnwood slats of our rickhouse. The filtered light catches dust particles hanging in the air before passing through the whiskey bottle and glass. The final shot is rich with texture and a warming glow worthy of the fine spirit.
