about Steve

My passion for photography began when I was 5 or 6 years old. It was my birthday and my grandparents had gifted me a Kodak Instamatic camera. I photographed everything with that camera, trees, our dogs, everything. Fast forward 30 or so years and my passion hasn’t wavered, only now I collaborate with amazing creatives to craft still-life images for advertising and other uses.
I see my job as that of a story teller. I'm telling the story of your product, and I'm telling the story of your brand. It’s at the intersection of those two tales where you will find the core of my work. I'd love the opportunity to help you tell your story.

Dave Selden, Creative Director at Pop Art, Inc.: "Steve was so great to work with. We were trying to shoot some very difficult products, and Steve came prepared, both with advance preparation, but also his seriously big imagination. It was fun solving problems together, and I couldn't be happier with how the shots turned out. The images' quality and dynamism far exceeded my expectations."
Wes Youssi, Owner at M.80 Branding: "Steve is a photographer who turns ordinary objects into stunning products with this camera. He has a keen sense for envisioning product potential from concept boards, an eye for shaping light in the studio, and the ability to expand on subtle product details that make the difference in post production. Additionally, Steve is a humble guy and a professional. I like that he has such a tremendous background in studio and I get the sense that despite all the modern conveniences, he could rig up a kit with aluminum foil, incandescent light bulb, and electrical tape. Our experience with Steve exceeded our expectations set forth in the project and we look forward to working with him again in the future.
